1. Consumption of alcoholic beverages or illegal substances at H&S Gun Club, LLC Range (“Range”) is strictly prohibited.
2. Hearing and eye protection is mandatory at all times while on the firing line.
3. All firearms must be pointed safely down range while loading/unloading ammunition. Finger shall remain outside the trigger guard until the member is prepared to discharge the firearm.
4. Firearms shall only be discharged from “firing line” designated areas. Discharge of a firearm from an unauthorized area will result in immediate termination of membership.
5. Firearms shall only be loaded/unloaded at the firing line. Firearms must be cleared and inspected prior to transporting the firearm to or from the Range.
6. All firearms must be discharged from authorized firing lanes. Reasonable care shall be exercised to avoid overshooting and short shooting.
7. No rapid fire of any kind.
8. Cross shooting targets is strictly prohibited.
9. Cease Fire/Fixing Targets:
A. A “cease fire” is in effect when all active shooters on the respective firing line are aware of the cease fire and the overhead flashing lights have been activated. Switches to activate the overhead flashing lights are located throughout the bays.
B. The pistol range and rifle range operate independently. To fix targets on one does not require a cease fire of the other.
C. The range is deemed “safe” once a cease fire has been clearly established and all firearms on the firing line have been cleared and benched. No firearms are to be handled during a cease fire. No one is permitted to access any area beyond the firing line until the range is safe and firearms are cleared and benched with no muzzles pointed down range.
D. Members and/or persons are permitted to fix targets once a cease fire is in effect. Only paper targets mounted to the supplied frames or Range provided permanent targets are allowed. The discharge of firearms may resume only after each person has safely returned to behind the firing line and the overhead flashing lights have been switched off.
E. A cease fire can be called by any member and/or person at any time. A cease fire shall remain in effect until the issue has been resolved.
10. No Automatic firearms are allowed on the range without prior written approval from a H&S Gun Club, LLC representative. Therefore, a representative of H&S Gun Club, LLC, must be present in order to discharge automatic firearms.
11. No calibers larger than .45-70 Gov. or equivalent are allowed without prior written approval from H&S Gun Club, LLC management.
12. Members shall only load or fire one weapon at a time.
13. NO rifles or shotguns are allowed on the pistol range, with an exception for pistol caliber carbine rifles.
14. Pistols ARE allowed on the rifle range.
15. No shotguns allowed on the pistol or rifle ranges.
16. No shotguns, black powder firearms, or archery will be allowed on the ranges.
17. Tannerite, homemade explosives, fireworks, or hellfire (dragons breathe) type ammunition is strictly prohibited on the property.
18. Members must have their membership card visible and either a photo ID or state issued driver’s license on their person, and present them if asked by an H&S Gun Club, LLC representative.
19. Members may bring one (1) guest, including, but not limited to, a member’s spouse and/or minor children. All individuals entering the Range MUST SIGN waivers.
20. Anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult member. There must be one (1) adult per two (2) underage shooters. All shooters must be 8 years or older. Under age shooters must be accompanied by an adult at all times while on the Range.
21. Members shall collect all brass and steel casings and discard in the proper labeled receptacles. Members are allowed to recover casings for reloads.
22. The entrance gate to the Range shall remain locked at all times. Upon entering or exiting the Range the combination for the lock shall be cleared. Unauthorized disclosure of the lock combination will result in immediate termination of membership.
23. No hunting or shooting of any animal is allowed at the Range.
24. No members and/or persons are allowed to be behind the earthen berms for any reason.
25. Vandalism of any kind shall result in immediate suspension and/or termination of membership. All reports of vandalism shall be directed to H&S Gun Club, LLC management. All reports of vandalism will remain anonymous.
26. All cigarette butts must be thoroughly extinguished and placed in the designated fire proof receptacles.
27. Place all trash in appropriate trash receptacles.
28. The range will be open on Mondays and Wednesday – Sunday from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. The range will be closed Tuesdays for maintenance.
29. These rules are not comprehensive and are subject to change at any time. Failure to adhere to these rules SHALL result in immediate suspension or termination of membership. Additionally, any membership can be terminated by H&S Gun Club, LLC with or without cause.
